Photogrammetry with Matterport
The link below demonstrates how a virtual, interactive environment can be built using photogrammetry, a process that stitches together images from an environment and creates a three-dimensional space. This basic model uses the Matterport platform on an iPhone 8 Plus in a residential living room. Greater detail can be attained by using Matterport’s specially designed cameras. While this example is basic and whimsical, it showcases various functions that can be utilized to recreate virtual learning environments, like an operating room in a hospital, a garage bay in a repair shop, etc.
